Was formed after we recognized a clear need for transparency in how exterior projects are run.

That focus on clarity and communication is the ethos of our company.

We blend lessons from history with proven field techniques and a tech-driven project-delivery system to keep clients fully informed and projects on track.

Launched by industry veterans Ryan Hopewell (25+ years in construction & consulting) and Matteen “Matt” Gafary, PE, QEWI, QPSI (15 years in façade and roof consulting), Bowery Consulting Labs is a New York–based building-envelope consulting firm. Together, our principals have led restoration projects on Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC) buildings and individual landmark properties across the city. We’ve also brought the same level of care and precision to modern building systems and envelope restorations.

Bowery Consulting Labs drives the operations, communication, and tech side of our projects by leveraging AI, custom-built restoration tools, and proven processes to streamline every phase. Bowery Engineering PLLC is our technical arm, delivering FISP and PIPS compliance, hands-on site work, and creative diagnostics for complex building issues
